Proprietary Plant Enzyme Blend

Protease Blend: Three powerful protein-digesting enzymes, including peptidase, which is capable of breaking down proteins at different optimum pH levels along the digestive tract. The Protease Blend is capable of breaking down proteins found in meat, cheese, nuts, and eggs. Assists in alleviating infection and inflammation conditions of many kinds.

Amylase: breaks down and digests carbohydrates, starches, and sugars, contained in potatoes, fruits, vegetables, and many snack foods.

Glucoamylase: Further breaks down and digests carbohydrates, starches, and sugars; in particular, maltose sugar and polysaccharides.

Lipase: Powerful fat digesting enzyme. Lipase breaks down fats such as those found in meats, dairy, oils, nuts, and seeds.

Lactase Blend: A potent, full spectrum blend of enzymes specifically designed to break down and digest dairy products as well as their accompanying factors such as lactose (milk sugar), protein. Helps to ease or eliminate ?lactose or dairy intolerance? issues such as gas, bloating, cramping, indigestion, and diarrhea. The lactase blend contained in Caprazyme is three times stronger than the dairy-digesting enzymes found in the stomach.

Bromelain: A combination of unique enzymes from both the ripe and unripe fruit as well as the leaves of the pineapple plant. Bromelain contains several proteolytic enzymes which have many functions and work in many different digestive environments. Bromelain has been used for medicinal purposes around the world for hundreds of years as a digestive aid for proteins and as an anti-inflammatory agent.

Papain: Helps to break down proteins in the body.

Alpha-Galactosidase: Aids in the digestion of complex sugars found in whole grains, beans, legumes, and cruciferous vegetables such as cabbage, broccoli, and cauliflower. The complex sugars (raffinose, stachyose, and verbascose) and fibrous nature of these foods pose digestive challenges for many people and are indigestible because humans do not product Alpha-Galactosidase required to break them down.

Cellulase: Complex of three different enzymes that converts fiber cellulose (one of the basic components of the cell wall) to glucose. Helps to break down the soluble parts of fiber contained in raw fruits, vegetables, and whole grains.

Isolase: Is an enzyme blend specifically designed to increase the absorption of isoflavones (found most commonly in soy). Clinical trials show that Isolase? can double the isoflavones in human subjects. On the average the bioavailibility of soy isoflavones varies from 13-25% depending on the individual.

Malt Diastase: Also known as maltase, helps to break down maltose, malt, and sugars found in grains.

Cerecalase? helps to break down all non-starch polysaccharides (NSPs), which are common in many vegetable foods including grains, beans, and herbs.

SOD/gliacin (vegetable source): Superoxide Dismutase (SOD) is a powerful enzyme, which revitalizes cells and reduces the rate of cell destruction. It helps to neutralize free radicals in the body and reduce inflammation. SOD also aids in the assimilation of zinc, copper, and manganese. SOD is contained in foods such as barley grass, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, and wheat grass.
